General Electrical Engineer: Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, and systems, for use within renewable energy based project including both utility scale and consumer scale applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering; to designs (in some cases in cooperation with associate or partner companies) electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes including such technologies generally derived Solar Energy, Bio-Fuels, Geo-Thermal, and Wind energy and other renewable sources; to work and liaison with partners, associate, and other companies in cooperation to perform these tasks. 1. Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products 2. Perform reviews and develop project engineering plans for specific project installations for both residential and commercial (industrial) applications, including renewable energy technologies specifically Energy, Bio-Fuels, Geo-Thermal, and Wind energy; this includes review regarding and involving of all or part of the following: · Pre-Construction Renewable Energy Project Planning - Review and perform duties in the planning of development of project parameters in order to compile the project plan including the size , scope, and purpose of the project and project objectives; establishing a plan for the appropriate resources including location, resource and logistics issues, interconnection and grid connection, as well as construction and installation resource management planning. · Overall Project Development - Review and perform duties in planning for associated issues regarding the specific project planning which are unique to the particular project, including local planning, permitting and any other logistical, regulatory or other issues which can have impact upon the overall project development and planning. · Environmental & Avian Issues – Review and perform duties in planning for the impacts of the environmental issues or avian issues which may affect the project, and developing strategies to address these issues. 3. Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses. 4. Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. 5. May also direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations. May also specialize in specific area of discipline, for example electrical energy generation, transmission, and distribution systems, products, for example appliances, generators, transformers, control devices, and relays, or area of work, for example manufacturing, applications, or installation. 6. May also use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. 7. Other tasks as assigned 8. Compensation will be based on Experience
3. Requirements: 4. College Degree in Engineering; 5. Some work experience is preferred but not required; 6. Good math and analytical skills 7. Interest in serving the public in providing quality renewable energy resources |
